What You Need To Do

You know you need to meet Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirements. Now you need the specifics.

As you know, if you passed the American Board of Pathology (ABP) certification exam in 2006 or later, your certificate is time-limited. It expires on December 31, ten years after your original certification was issued. Although the MOC process comprises a 10-year cycle that requires you to take the MOC examination every 10 years, there are other requirements that you must meet and document at two-year checkpoints along the way.

What You Need To Do. Below is a chart that provides a quick overview of the four MOC categories, what you need to do and when, and how ASCP can help you.

MOC Requirements Overview

MOC Deadlines

Now that you know your requirements and deadlines, ASCP can help you earn the CME and CME/SAM credits you need to meet your Part II lifelong learning requirements. Find out more.
