Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Resources

Amidst the outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China, ASCP disseminated guidance and support to laboratories. The virus was named “SARS-CoV-2,” and the disease it causes named “coronavirus disease 2019” or “COVID-19.”

ASCP Joins Appeal for Healthcare Employers to Require Workers Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

ASCP and other specialty medical societies, led by the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) released a statement calling for all healthcare employers to require their employees be vaccinated against the coronavirus. The statement was in response to the COVID-19 surge and the availability of extremely safe and effective vaccines.
