In the Spring of 2020, pathologists Sara E. Wobker, MD, of UNC Chapel Hill, Kamran Mirza, MD, PhD, FASCP, MLS(ASCP), of Loyola University Health System, Xiaoyin "Sara" Jiang, MD, of Duke University, Raul S. Gonzalez, MD, of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Elham Khanafshar, MD, MS of UCSF, launched Virtual Pathology Grand Rounds (VPGR). This lecture series brought in subject matter experts from around the country to share knowledge and insight with pathologists and laboratory professionals, providing the opportunity to learn anywhere, anytime.
In 2021, Virtual Pathology Grand Rounds officially partnered with ASCP to continue offering the exceptional content the pathology and laboratory medicine community has come to expect. These free online events are held throughout the year and provide a dynamic way for pathologists and medical laboratory professionals to connect, learn, and integrate their knowledge to provide better patient care.
