The ASCP Great Plains Chapter is a collective of medical laboratory professionals and pathologists throughout Nebraska who are committed to connecting as a medical laboratory community to discuss the critical issues facing the laboratory, collaborate with peers to address laboratory concerns and volunteer within the community. Once upon a time, medicine was in the hands of your family physician and local hospital. Today, healthcare is largely provided through large corporations. This presentation will describe society’s expectations for healthcare corporations, based on a medical ethics, and the role of laboratory and other professionals.
