ASCP member volunteers have made a significant impact over the past 20 years.
Through their contributions to ASCP’s HIV Initiative and our Partners in Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment in Africa program, ASCP members have trained over 10,000 laboratory professionals and provided telepathology consultation to over 7,500 patients.
ASCP needs experienced and dedicated pathologists and laboratory professionals to support our work in low- and lower-middle income countries (LMICs). Volunteer and share your unique expertise with clinicians and laboratorians around the globe.
These individuals are pathologists with a current medical license who are willing to be assigned to a consultant team and provide expert diagnostic consultation on whole slide images from active cases. Volunteers must be board-certified anatomic pathologists and commit to providing review of referred cases within 24-72 hours of submission.
These individuals are pathologists and laboratory professionals willing to travel internationally to serve as faculty or instructors for in-service training on topics including: HIV viral load testing, specimen processing, histological processes, and quality management systems.
These individuals are pathologists and laboratory professionals who are willing to serve as faculty or instructors for virtual educational activities or training courses.
These individuals are pathologists and laboratory professionals who are interested in developing in-person or virtual educational programs and training courses, or working with colleges and universities to review and improve their pre-service educational curricula for pathologists and laboratory professionals.
Organizational liaisons serve as representatives of ASCP to international partners and working groups such as the City Cancer Challenge (C/CAN), the International Cancer Control Partnership (ICCP), The Global Breast Cancer Initiative (GBCI) and others.
