ASCP Raises Concern about Congressional Plans for VALID ACT
In response to legislation that could expedite congressional consideration of the Verifying Accurate Leading-edge IVCT Development (VALID) Act, ASCP has submitted formal comments urging reconsideration. On May 17, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) attached the VALID Act to the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Landmark Advancements (FDASLA) Act. Adding the VALID Act to this “must pass” bill significantly reduces the likelihood that Congress will make any of the numerous changes sought by the laboratory community. Read
