Infectious Disease Advisor (11/25, Nye) reports, “Individuals with HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV) coinfection may be at risk for hepatic steatosis progression regardless of curative treatment with direct-acting antivirals (DAAs), according to results of a study.” The study data “were sourced from a prospective study of patients with HIV and HCV coinfection established in 2003.” The findings were published in The Journal of Infectious Diseases.
