Infectious Disease Advisor (12/2, Nye) reports, “Patients hospitalized with COVID-19 who received remdesivir were less likely to be readmitted for COVID-19 within 30 days, according to study findings.” The researchers said, “The evidence from this study adds reduced risk of rehospitalization as yet another rationale to consider remdesivir as the standard of care for the management of patients hospitalized for COVID-19.” The findings were published in Clinical Infectious Diseases.
