Socioeconomic Barriers Reduce Odds Of COVID-19 Vaccination Among Cancer Survivors, Research Finds

Cancer Therapy Advisor (12/6, Ehlers) reported, “Socioeconomic barriers reduce the odds of COVID-19 vaccination among cancer survivors, according to research.” Investigators “found that cancer survivors with more socioeconomic barriers were less likely to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or to have received the recommended number of vaccine doses.” For the study published in Cancer Medicine, “the socioeconomic barriers evaluated were lower levels of education, lower incomes, lack of health insurance, lack of employment, and lack of home ownership.”
