HHS Extends COVID-19 Vaccine Liability Shield Through 2029
December 11, 2024
Bloomberg Law (12/10, Lopez, Subscription Publication) reports HHS “is extending through 2029 liability protections for those producing and administering Covid-19 vaccines, in a move to guard against future potential health emergencies.” HHS “first declared the public health emergency in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 outbreak and continually renewed it up until May 2023. In Tuesday’s notice, however, the HHS noted there remains ‘a credible risk that COVID-19 may in the future constitute such an emergency.’”
