White House Unveils National COVID-19 Testing Plan, Adopting Many ASCP Recommendations
The White House today unveiled a blueprint for a more coherent COVID-19 testing strategy. The plan includes many recommendations ASCP outlined in its recently released National COVID-19 Diagnostic Testing and Support Strategy. An initial review of the White House plan is encouraging. AMA Endorses ASCP’s Call for a National Testing Strategy
In a letter to U.S. Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary Admiral Brett Giroir, MD, the American Medical Association today called on the Administration develop a national strategy to help the federal government exercise stronger leadership to help clinical laboratories acquired testing components that are in short supply. Many of the themes touched upon in the letter parallel those outlined in ASCP’s recommendation for a national strategy.Read More
