ASCLS Releases its First Choosing Wisely Recommendations in Collaboration with ASCP and ASM

The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, in collaboration with ASCP and the American Society for Microbiology, has published a series of recommendations for the Choosing Wisely initiative, operated by the ABIM Foundation. Through this new partnership, ASCLS will provide a subject matter expert to serve on the ASCP Effective Test Utilization Committee. Read more.

ASCP Leadership Institute Course Focuses on Burnout Prevention

A new free, online course on burnout prevention, developed by the ASCP Leadership Institute, is available for ASCP pathologist and laboratory professional members. This course is especially critical at a time when healthcare employees are working extraordinarily long shifts to care for COVID-19 patients. The course includes content discussing characteristics, causes and consequences of burnout, as well as its prevention. Read more.
