Working with the American Medical Association and other medical societies, ASCP helped prevent the imposition of a two-percent “sequester cut” to the Medicare program. The cuts would have affected the Medicare physician and clinical laboratory fee schedules. Read more.

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force Recognizes ASCP Vitamin D Recommendations
Citing ASCP’s recent recommendation on vitamin D screening, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has determined there is not “enough evidence to recommend the general population be screened for vitamin D deficiency.”  Read more.

At-Homes COVID Tests Require Appropriate Guidance 
ASCP has asked the Food and Drug Administration to ensure when COVID-19 tests are approved for at-home use that users are provided appropriate guidance on test use and interpretation. Read more.
