Vaccination Against SARS-CoV-2 Induces Lasting Serologic Response Among Most Children With IBD, Study Finds

Gastroenterology Advisor (11/25, Nye) reports, “Vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 induces a lasting serologic response among most children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), according to study results.” Investigators came to this conclusion after conducting “a prospective, observational cohort study conducted between 2021 and 2023 in the” US in which “children...with self-reported IBD who received 2 or more SARS-CoV-2 vaccine doses were evaluated for serologic responses at 12 and 52 weeks.” The findings were published in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
