ASCP 2018: Resident Review in Hematopathology and Hematology

The Resident Review Series at the ASCP 2018 Annual Meeting will provide pathology residents with an opportunity to prepare for their board exams with exceptional educational sessions led by faculty who are experts in their field. Residents are very interested in the material and appreciate the chance to review the topic areas in an organized way.

In our Resident Review Session: Hematopathology and Hematology, on Friday, Oct. 5, I will present on benign hematology and Riccardo Valdez, MD, FASCP, will focus on malignant hematology. Together, we will provide a comprehensive, case-based review of common diagnostic entities in both benign and malignant hematology and hematopathology.

 

One of the goals of our session is to provide pathology trainees with this knowledge to enhance their board preparation and provide them with foundational skills for their residency training and their careers. We show them cases that are practical, yet complicated enough to provide pearls to pass their boards.

In this session, residents will be active learners, answering multiple choice questions for each case. Both core knowledge as well as new developments in each area will be included in the discussion. We look forward to seeing you there!
