The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has just released a
final regulation implementing the vaccination mandate sought by the White House. On September 9, President Joe Biden ordered OHSA to promulgate a regulation requiring employers with 100 or more employees to require vaccinations or weekly testing. Under the new rule, employees who are not vaccinated will be required to undergo weekly testing and wear a face mask while on the job. The rule will go into effect on January 4. While a lawsuit has secured a temporary injunction on the rule, it is unclear whether it will delay the rule’s implementation date.
