Build Skills to Advocate for the Needs of Your Laboratory at ASCP 2023 Annual Meeting!

October 05, 2023

Recently, ASCP launched the Negotiation and Advocacy Toolbox, a vital and innovative asset in enabling laboratory directors to demonstrate the value(s) of their laboratories to appropriate decision makers. Through the toolbox, ASCP offers capital, guidance, and best practices to ensure an efficient uniformed laboratory workforce development in service of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) OneLab Initiative. To date, the Society has released two key pillars in its toolbox focusing on laboratory advocacy: 1. Promoting laboratory visibility, and 2. Nurturing a culture of patient-focused laboratory advocates. To support the roll-out and application of this toolbox to members, ASCP is offering two targeted sessions at the upcoming ASCP 2023 Annual Meeting.

The first will be a CME-eligible education session highlighting key strategies to demonstrate the value of the laboratory via the Toolbox’s existing content.
