ASCP Endorses Congressional Resolution Supporting DEI

ASCP recently endorsed a congressional resolution, H.Res. 1140, affirming congressional support for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and academic freedom at medical education institutions. ASCP agrees with David J. Skorton, MD, President and CEO of the American Association of Medical Colleges that “Medical schools are in the best position to identify how to prepare their students to meet the needs of the physician workforce and must have the autonomy and flexibility to do so.”
